Excelerate Energy required a solution to ensure they could easily locate and contact all members of staff in the event of an incident. This is to help the organisation manage risk and provide them with a tool to send out critical information, to the right people in an emergency. Employees are then better informed and can follow instructions if required.
Vismo provides a mass notification system which Excelerate Energy easily deployed into the organisation through downloading and activating the Vismo App on employee’s devices. The Excelerate Energy team use the Vismo Secure Portal to send mass communications to employees. Messages can be written out with response options when required or pre-defined templates can also be created. Excelerate Energy then decide who this message will be delivered to, whether it be all employees, those in a geographic area or a specific group of staff.
The mass notification tool is used on a regular basis within Excelerate Energy, especially during hurricane season. Vismo acts as an early warning system during the hurricane season and reminders are sent out to employees to ensure they are prepared.
Vismo is heavily used to understand and establish safe zones for execs and personnel at Excelerate Energy. This allows the security team at Excelerate to be notified via text when personnel and execs have made it safely to their destination. This process is automated as the Vismo Secure Portal detects through the Vismo App when the individual has entered or exited a pre-defined area.
Excelerate Energy can monitor the movements of their employees for safety, this is actively used to monitor employees during high threat transportation events. Providing the organisation with high visibility of employees to ensure their wellbeing. Staff also gain peace of mind knowing their locations are closely monitored.
The Excelerate Energy team found Vismo particularly beneficial in the major freeze in February 2021, which affected Texas. The team used Vismo as a mass notification tool to connect impacted employees with those who still had power and/or water. Vismo was also used to maintain the safety of all employees, through regularly checking in on the App.
Vismo is also used as a wellness checker for COVID-19. All employees are required to respond on the Vismo App about their wellbeing, before travelling to site. This is an efficient system for Excelerate Energy, as they do not have to individually check-in with each employee, as this is centralized.
