Maintaining your trust is paramount to us. When we process your personal data, we comply with all data protection and privacy laws applicable to us, referred to throughout this policy as the Data Protection Laws.
This Statement discloses the information practices for Vismo and our affiliates, from what type of information about our customers is gathered, to how the information is used, shared or otherwise processed.

1. What information do we collect about you?
You may choose to give us personal information directly in a variety of situations. For example, if your organisation purchases or considers purchasing products from us, we may process your name and contact information to communicate with you, to order a product, to process an order, to register for a service or to provide you with a subscription. We refer to this type of data as “Customer Data”.
We may process information about you if you work for a company that does business with us or is one of our suppliers or business partners. We refer to this type of data as “Supplier Data”.
You may also share a description of your education, work experience and other relevant personal information in connection with a job opening at Vismo for which you wish to be considered. We refer to this type of data as “Candidate Data”.
We may also receive your information from other sources or indirectly, including where you are an end user of a product purchased by one of our customers. In that case, we may receive your name, phone number and email address in order to ensure you are able to use our products and to provide the organisation for which you work with technical and support services. We may also be able to access your geolocation data where the services provided by us include geolocation services. We refer to this type of data as “End User Data”.
If you tell us that you do not want us to use your information to make further contact with you beyond fulfilling your request, we will respect your wishes unless we need to continue processing your information for any other reason and are entitled to do so at law.
2. How will we use the information about you?
The following paragraphs describe in more detail how Vismo may use your personal information.
2.1 Fulfilling your Request – Customer Data and End User Data
If you request something from us, for example, a product or service, a call back, or specific marketing materials, we will use the information you provide to fulfil your request. We may also contact you as part of our customer satisfaction surveys or for market research purposes in relation to the products you have purchased. We do so on the grounds of our legitimate interests.
Where you are an end user of a product purchased by one of our customers, we will use End User Data to provide you with our services on the grounds of our legitimate interests.
We may also use Customer Data and End User Data to support products or services you have obtained from us, such as notifying you of a product update or fix.
We may keep Customer Data for a period of 7 years from the date our contract with your organisation terminates so that we have all relevant information should an issue or query arise.
We will keep End User Data for no longer than 1 year following the date it is collected.
Any marketing communications we send to you will comply with section 2.5 below.
2.2 Working with you or receiving services from you – Supplier Data
If you supply services to us, work with us or are one of our business partners, we may process Supplier Data to the extent necessary to continue our relationship and, where applicable, to receive services from you.
We will retain Supplier Data for 7 years beyond the end of our contract with you so that we are able to deal with any issues or queries that may arise.
Any marketing communications we send to you will comply with section 2.5 below.
2.3 Prospective Customers
We may hold information about you that we have obtained from other sources if we think you may wish to purchase products or services from us. We may have obtained your information from publicly available sources, such as LinkedIn, or from data we have purchased from another company. We make sure any transfers of data to us are compliant with GDPR.
2.4 Providing Support
We also provide “Live Chat” sessions on our websites to assist you while you’re navigating through our sites; we will use personal information you provide to help you with any queries or comments you raise.
We process the personal data you provide to us via “Live Chat” on the grounds of our legitimate interests and we will not retain information you provide to us beyond the end of the “Live Chat” session, unless you wish to purchase products from us in which case your personal data will be held in accordance with section 2.1 above.
If you contact us via our website including using our “Contact Us” form, we will collect your name, email address and any other personal data you provide. We retain this information for a period of 1 year unless you purchase one of our products, in which case section 2.1 applies.
2.5 Marketing
The information you provide to Vismo, as well as the information we have collected about you indirectly, may be used by Vismo for marketing purposes. Before we do so, however, we will offer you the opportunity to choose whether or to have your information used in this way. You may at any time choose not to receive marketing materials from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each e-mail you may receive, by indicating so when we call you, or by contacting us directly (please refer to our contact details below).
Some of our offerings may be co-branded, that is sponsored by both Vismo and third parties. If you sign up for these offerings, we may seek your consent to share your information with those third parties. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with their privacy policies to gain an understanding of the manner in which they will handle information about you.
2.6 Recruitment
In connection with a job application or inquiry, whether advertised on a Vismo website or otherwise, you may provide us with Candidate Data. We may use this information throughout Vismo in order to address your inquiry or consider you for employment purposes. Unless you tell us not to do so, we may keep the information for future consideration for a maximum of 1 year from the date we reach a decision in respect of your application. If we choose to recruit you, we will provide you with our employee privacy statement.
2.7 Monitoring or Recording of Calls, Chats and Other Interactions
Certain transactions may involve you calling us or us calling you. They may also involve online chats. Please be aware that it is Vismo’s general practice to monitor and in some cases record such interactions for staff training or quality assurance purposes or to retain evidence of a particular transaction or interaction. We retain copies of the recordings for no longer than 1 year from the date of the recording in case any issues or queries arise.
2.8 Mobile Applications and Social Media
Vismo makes available mobile applications for download from various mobile application marketplaces. Vismo also provides social media tools on some of its websites to enable online sharing and collaboration among members who have registered to use them. These include forums, wikis, blogs and other social media platforms.
When downloading and using these applications or registering to use these social media tools, you may be asked to provide certain personal information. These applications and tools may also include supplemental privacy statements with specific information about collection and handling practices. Read those supplemental statements to understand what the tools and applications may do.
Any other content you post, such as pictures, information, opinions, or any other type of personal information that you make available to other participants on these social platforms or applications, is subject to the Terms of Use of those applications or platforms, and any additional guidelines and privacy information provided in relation to their use, as well as the process by which you can remove your content from such tools or get help to do so. Please refer to them to better understand yours, Vismo’s, and other parties’ rights and obligations with regard to such content. You should be aware that the content you post on any such social media platforms may be viewable by others inside and outside Vismo.
2.9 Protect the Rights and Property of Vismo and Others
We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, or the rights of others, or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our websites provided that any such disclosure by us will always comply with Data Protection Laws.
2.10 Sharing of Personal Information and International Transfers
Vismo is a global organisation with business processes, management structures and technical systems that cross borders. As such, we may share information about you within Vismo and transfer it to countries in the world where we do business in connection with the uses identified above and in accordance with this Privacy Statement. Our Privacy Statement and our practices are designed to provide a globally consistent level of protection for personal information all over the world. This means that even in countries whose laws provide for less protection for your information, Vismo will still handle your information in the manner described here.
In some cases, Vismo uses suppliers located in various countries to collect, use, analyse, and otherwise process information on its behalf. If you are an end user of our products:
• your location data may be shared with Google LLC for location look-up purposes;
• your personal contact data may be shared with Docusign, Inc for document sharing & approval;
• End User Data may be shared with Rapid SOS Inc & COPS Monitoring Inc for 24/7 alarm receiving center monitoring in the USA;
• End User Data may be shared with Securitas Security Services (UK) Limited for 24/7 alarm receiving centre monitoring in the UK; and
• your phone number may be shared with Twilio, Inc for mass notification messaging.
We also use Microsoft Inc for Azure cloud hosting services & Zendesk Inc for cloud hosted customer support ticketing.
Where your personal data is transferred outside of the EEA we ensure there are appropriate safeguards in place. Where personal data is transferred to Google LLC, Twilio Inc and Microsoft Inc as described above we rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses produced by the European Commission.
We may also share your personal data with third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy policy.
3. Cookies
We collect information from your visits to our websites to help us gather statistics about usage and effectiveness, personalise your experience and tailor our interactions with you. 4. Links to Non-Vismo Websites and Third Party Applications
To allow you to interact with other websites on which you may have accounts (such as Facebook and other social media sites) or join communities on such sites, we may provide links or embed third-party applications that allow you to login, post content or join communities from our websites.
We may also provide you with general links to non-Vismo websites. Your use of these links and applications is subject to the third parties’ privacy policies, and you should become familiar with the third party sites’ privacy policies before using the links or applications.
Vismo is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those other websites.
5. Your Rights
You benefit from a number of rights in respect of the personal data we hold about you. These include:
• the right to access to your data;
• rectification of your data;
• the right to erasure;
• the right to restrict processing;
• data portability; and
• the right to object.
These rights do not apply in all circumstances but if you exercise your rights we will ensure we deal with your request in accordance with Data Protection Laws. These rights apply for the period in which we process your data.
Before Vismo is able to deal with your request, we may ask you to verify your identity and to provide other details to help us to respond to your request. We will contact you within one month of receipt of your request.
